Description:
The episode can be summarized VERY quickly! It's about an assassin named Curare
who attempts to kill Sam Young, Barbara Gordon's husband, who is about to testify
against a big influent guy. So all along the episode Curare traps Sam Young
somewhere and encounters Batman and fights him and Batman wins and Curare tries
again (.................). Otherwise Barbara visits Bruce in the Batcave and
Terry finds out she was Batgirl. They both meet again in a the street another
day and Barbara tells Terry she and Bruce once dated in the past but she got
weary and they split up...
Yes if Barbara didn't make these revelations about Bruce's past the plot of
this episode would have been terrible. So thanks to that it's just in the middle.
If you have read my summarize carefully you may have noticed the Curare was
lame. And indeed it was. The whole episode seemed kindda rushed to me. Every
time Curare appeared she was just playing with her sword, fighting, and that
was it. I didn't see the point of the appearances. It's too bad since she looks
terrific in her suit with her ninja moves and skills and her sword abilities...
The lines about the past were nice. The most surprising moment came up when
Barbara started to chat about her relationship with Bruce. I definitely didn'tt
expect that.
The animation was weird. Sometimes it was awfull, like in the very fist scene
in the park when Curare chases Gordon and Sam, sometimes it was incredibly terrific
and smooth, like in most of the action scenes. So overall the action sequences
were very impressive.
I truly loved the endingof the episode. It was original and funny: seeing Curare
hunted by one of the members of the League of Assassins was a great idea.
As a conclusion one can say the plot is poor and the action very well rendered.
BUt it's surely not a great intro to Curare's character...
